My kids were so ga-ga over Luna, the cat we were watching for my parents, that I feared masssive grief when we we brought her over to their new digs the other day. It was all “Woo-na,” and “Meow” from my toddler, first and last words of the day, every day. (In truth, Luna is probably the one recovering from PTSD after being constantly stalked, chased, and grabbed.)

So I’ve been relieved to hear not a peep since her departure. Memory like a goldfish, I guess.

I’m also happy, at this point in our lives, not to be shelling out the estimated cost of keeping a cat for 14 years according to this veterinarian:

Low $4,521.00

Her Actual Cost $7,713.00

High Cost $18,322.00

Maybe someday, kit-tay.
